Job Description
Tasks SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Supervise repairs of track defects, installation of rail ties, inspection of switches. Instruct gangs on daily tasks, conducts job briefings. Supervise loading and unloading of materials. Reports pertinent data, both verbal and written, regarding employees and work progress/problems to immediate supervisor. Leads employees within guidelines of System Safety Program. Continually observes, corrects and trains employees in all safety requirements and work operations. Maintains and is accountable for Maximo time approvals and various reports. EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED equivalent. WORK EXPERIENCE: Must be qualified in AMT-2, NORAC, RWP and ARASA Assistant Supervisor Test. Physical characteristics for assigned territory. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must have a valid driver’s license. COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Must speak, read and write the English language. TRAVEL: Yes
