Job Description
Tasks SUMMARY OF DUTIES: To Perform the duties of a Carman with regard to inspections and repairs of passenger train equipment, baggage cars and locomotives and other duties as may be assigned in accordance with applicable work rules and agreements. EDUCATION: Must have high school diploma or equivalent. WORK EXPERIENCE: Familiar with rail equipment trucks, wheels and air brake system; interior inspections in accordance with FRA CFR 238 Tier 1. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Upon completion of training program, this individual must satisfactorily pass a written examination. Must have satisfactory work record. COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication Requirements skills, both written and verbal. TRAVEL: No travel.
