Job Description

The California High-Speed Rail Authority has developed a long-term implementation program to construct the 800-mile California High-Speed Train Project (CHSTP) connecting southern and northern California. This USD 10 billion project includes final design and construction of the rail and civil infrastructure to support 220 mph high-speed rail service, with procurement of design/build contractors to begin construction in 2012. PB is providing Program Management services for the entire program, and we have an immediate opening for a Deputy Project Manager specializing in project delivery, as follows:

Duties
The Deputy Project Manager – HSR Planning is responsible for leading strategy development and implementation for the start of revenue service for the HSR system. This includes:

* Oversight and guidance of all rail operations and planning for the entire program
* Phasing and roll-out of the operational HSR System, including test track facility requirements
* Verification and validation of the system design, construction and installation
* Obtaining State and Federal regulatory approvals
* Developing testing and commissioning requirements

Job Requirements

Successful participation at a senior level in the delivery of a major high-speed rail program, as well as demonstrated strong experience in design/build projects, with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and relevant professional registration.
