Job Description
Description Position based in Caracas (Venezuela) Reporting hierarchically to the Turnkey Metro and Suburban Solutions Director and functionally to the Customer Director, you will be in charge of the electromechanical consortium of the Turnkey Metro Project in Caracas (Venezuela). You will have to : • Lead the E&M Consortium, coordinate all Project work, lead and manage the E&M project piloting team • Ensure that QCD commitment exist for all Partners and confirm that QCD commitment will lead to the successful performance of the contract. • Drive and insure decisions making for all issues that affect Project performance and obtain the expected results: o Drive and ensure project execution and progress. o Make sure that all key Project issues are resolved. o Ensure that all necessary action plans are defined and deployed until their satisfactory closure / result. o Ensure that all decisions are executed. o Manage and arbitrate conflicts. • Manage the contact with the Customer, lead the E&M Management Committee o Ensure and manage daily contact with Customer’s Project Management Team, o Ensure and manage daily contact with the Partners and the project piloting team to lead the Project and secure optimum coordination and progress o Identifies and secure all critical Variation Orders and Claims under the Contract o Identify and gather any new revenue opportunity or improved Customer satisfaction opportunity. o Ensure and manage possible connection with final customer to ensure the proper implementation for the E&M project. o Identify, manage and settle all variation orders and Consortium internal change o Ensure that all impacts are validated and costs estimated (QCD) by Partners prior to presentation to Customer o Ensure that all agreed variation orders or internal changes are reflected in Project deliverables (project schedule,QCD commitments...). • Identify and minimize all Project risks and maximize opportunities. • Take the overall responsibility for the correct deployment and implementation of the Project Management Processes. • Manage at Project level all Project Reviews and Gate Reviews, including organisation and reporting. • At Alstom level for what regards Alstom involvement in ‘Cellule de Pilotage’, he manages all work packages as an integrated project to meet QCD commitments. o Manage all project reviews using the Work Package reports as a basis. o Ensure that people from Product Lines and Region are involved as needed. •Ensures that EHS requirements are fulfilled at all times and that EHS is properly implemented in the Project and ensure compliance with Code of Ethics Qualifications Technical Knowledge / Experience • Strong experience in railway business and / or Infrastructure Project (> 15 years) • Experience in coordinating International Projects and large Consortium, • Good understanding of all project interfaces, • Fluent in Spanish. Behavioural and Technical Skills / Competencies • Very strong leadership and ability to drive teams • Ability to take decisions under stress and in timely manner, • Excellent communication skills, • Strong personality and charisma, • Strong initiative to launch and implement actions, • Tenacity in long term actions, Capacity to propose actions plan and consolidate overviews,
