Job Description
Tasks EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Finance, or a related field or the equivalent combination of training, education and/or experience is preferred. WORK EXPERIENCE: • Some railroad experience. • Some experience in and knowledge of train operations, administrative management, and financial management. • Some organizational, planning, and analytical skills. • Some experience in using PC based spreadsheets. • Some experience in using Amtrak’s business, operations, and financial systems (such as FIS, Work Element Explorer, AAMPS, SAP, and eTrax). • Prior satisfactory job performance is required. COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: • Must have effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to interface effectively with individuals at all levels within and outside of Amtrak. • Some experience in using Amtrak’s business, operations, and financial systems (such as FIS, Work Element Explorer, AAMPS, SAP, and eTrax).
