We are looking for a Project leader - Prototyping for our Saint-Bruno (QC) facility. You will play a key role in the manufacturing of prototypes for interiors, exteriors, under frames and bogies of rail vehicles for small to large scale projects. You will work in the development and manufacturing of prototypes of modern, stylish, functional and easy to care transit vehicles. You will have to make technical and tactical decisions to quickly deliver realistic prototypes to validate the feasibility, functionality and manufacturability before issuing drawings. As a project leader, you will provide technical support in the creation of prototypes, you will participate in the planning of schedules, in the assignation of work to technicians, in the budget monitoring, in the allocation of orders for vendors and will occasionally participate in the manufacturing and assembly of prototypes. In your role as a Project leader - Prototyping, you will: Receive, understand and carry out prototyping projects using human resources, material and equipment made available by the Prototype Center; Provide guidance on technical issues and activities for the prototype manufacturing; Make technical recommendations and suggest improvements; Participate in the distribution of workloads to the appropriate resources to meet the various project requirements; Plan and track the progress of workloads by ensuring that they meet the requirements of the project (scope, costs, schedule and quality); Participate in continuous improvement activities and in the development of methods or tools to improve the overall performance of the Prototype Center. Qualifications As our ideal candidate, you possess: A Bachelors degree in a relevant field or a combination of a College diploma and relevant experience; 3 to 5 years of experience in project coordination; Experience in budget and schedule management; Knowledge of manufacturing processes; Knowledge of fast paste prototyping techniques; Knowledge of composite materials, sheet metal, aluminum and plastics; Fluency in both written and spoken English and French.
