Job Description
Job Description: Work could involve serving as project manager or resident engineer any of the following types of projects: 1. Railroad grade separation involving construction of a railroad shoefly, large embankments including mechanically stabilized earth walls, bridges, rail station, and railroad track work. 2. Seismic retrofit of BART Stations. 3. Highway and bridge projects including interchanges. The successful candidate will manage contractors, design engineers, subconsultants, office engineers, and inspectors assigned to projects. Support staff also includes schedulers, estimators and other oversight and administrative personnel to assure compliance with contract documents. Professional contact with the Owner’s Project Manager and Staff including presentation of current project status and challenges, recommendations for problem resolution, and implementing directions from the Client. Efficient use of resources including manpower and budget is essential. EOE M/F/D/V
