Job Description
Project Engineering (Signalling), London Up to £420 per day 8 week assignment - ASAP to 06/04/12 We are looking to appoint an experienced signalling project engineer to lead the development and implementation of workstreams required to close outstanding issues, improve the system performance and reliability, and address issues raised on this pilot site to enable completion of the project. The successful candidate will monitor design and specialist consultants and contractors, providing project management advice in respect of all construction activities, including testing and commissioning and site supervision. You will have the ability to manage elements of relevant projects to meet the requirements of current legislation, including construction design management regulations. An ability to arrange an audit of contractors will be required to monitor safety, environment and quality of design, construction and testing. The Wessex, Sussex & Kent team are part of the Signalling & Electrification Programme within the Investment Projects organisation. The team delivers renewals and upgrade works across the area, as well as the national SCADA and the Cambrian ERTMS projects.
