We are looking for a Systems Engineer for our Stockholm site Role Profile: We are looking for skilled engineering candidates who have an analytical mind and the ambitious drive to develop into a Systems Engineer role within the railway industry. This role is highly advanced and central within the BT product development process that requires a holistic approach as well as detailed systems knowledge. In this role you would gain unique competencies by: - analysing customer needs and required functionality - writing system requirement and architectural specifications - designing complete customer solutions with multiple interfacing systems - analysing, specifying and documenting all safety aspects of the system - specifying new interfaces to other systems You will mainly work with the Wayside system, which is a high volume; well reputed signalling system within BT. This safety critical, real time, embedded system is made up of multiple products that monitors and controls railway objects. There are many new products to be developed within the framework of this system for customers all over the world during the upcoming years. Thus there is a strong need to build up additional competence within the area of Systems Engineering. You will work closely with the HW Engineers, SW Engineers and Test Engineers in the product development projects. You will most probably start off as an analogue/digital HW designer, C/VHDL programmer or design tester and will then continuously develop into the Systems Engineer position. You will get the opportunity to be fully part of the complete project development 12 month life cycle, from designing a solution to verification and release. Qualifications Engineering degree (Software / Electrical / Physics) 2-3 years experience from product development of embedded systems 2-3 years experience in system design Interested in writing system design documentation Strong communication skills Driven and motivated Fluent English language, fluent in Swedish is a plus
