Job Description
Department & how it relates to the role In order to achieve the level of reliability that our customers demand and deserve, our newly-established Infrastructure Maintenance function that employs 15,000 across 40 delivery units, will play a major role in delivering our vision of engineering and operating excellence for Britain’s railway. Our in-house maintenance organisation works as one single team maintaining signalling, track, and electrification using standardised, efficient processes that are committed to the achievement of our corporate goals. About the role (External) As the Track Quality Supervisor you’ll be responsible for the delivery of all on-track machine operations ensuring they are delivered to the required timescales, quality and specification required. You’ll mark up obstructions for tamping/stone blower operations, liaise with machine operators and check machine outputs to ensure a good standard of work. In addition, you’ll plan and undertake site inspections to identify preparatory work in liaison with Track Section Managers. You’ll have a team of staff allocated to assist on track machine operations, produce and process . Do you have….? · A working knowledge of the various types of On-Track Machines · An understanding of Track Geometry principles? Are you….? · Experienced in track geometry measurement? · Experience in setting out for On Track Plant?
